Pomar Junction Vineyard is at a relatively high elevation in the El Pomar District. Our Tempranillo block sits on a hill top with an exposed, southern aspect. This exposure allows for rapid maturity. The resulting wine is expressive with red fruit, leather, and relatively lean and fine-grained tannin. Tempranillo, known as a vigorous grape variety, is well suited for these soils with high-water holding capacity allowing for better water stress management.
